About Munazzim

What Munazzim is

Munazzimis a daily planner for Muslims. It puts the day’s tasks and the five daily prayers on one page, with the Hijri date beside the Gregorian one, so that work, study and family are planned around the prayers rather than in spite of them. It runs on the web (munazzim.app), on Android and on iPhone, with one account synced between them, in Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Indonesian.

Who makes it

Munazzim is built and published by the Munazzim team at Innoviata IA LLC, a company registered in the State of Delaware, United States. The same team writes the guides on the blog and answers every message sent to support@munazzim.app. The legal notice has the company details.

How we handle religious sources

• Qur’an. Verses are quoted in translation with their surah and verse number, so that anyone can check them against the Arabic.
• Hadith. Every hadith we quote names its collection and number (for example, Sahih al-Bukhari 6464) and links to the text where one is available. Where the wording we quote comes from another collection than the one cited, we say so.
• Rulings. We do not issue religious rulings. Where a question is a matter of fiqh, such as how to make up missed prayers, we point to scholars and recognised fatwa bodies rather than answering it ourselves.
• Prayer times. They are computed on your device with the open-source adhan library, from your city or your position. The calculation method used is stated in the app; where your mosque uses another method, its times can differ by a few minutes, and more in summer at high latitudes.
• Hijri dates. They follow the Umm al-Qura calendar. Months that begin with a local moon sighting can start a day earlier or later where you live, and our pages say so next to the dates.

Corrections

If you find an error in a reference, a date or a translation, write to support@munazzim.app. We check it, correct the page, and change its “updated” date.

What we do not do

There is no advertising inside the product, no feed, and nothing you write is shared with other users. We do not sell your data. The privacy policy lists every service the website and the apps use.
